Staying sober can be challenging, especially at first. But what about staying sober when your partner still drinks? Is this even possible? You must keep putting your recovery first. If you constantly focus on their drinking, you may wind up relapsing. You should focus on staying sober and what you may have to do to do that. You may have to stay home when they go out for drinks. You can’t let the relationship come before your recovery.

Sometimes, keeping your recovery first can mean ending the relationship. It depends on your situation you can’t control your partner’s drinking habits, but you can control yours. If staying with them is detrimental to your recovery, you may have to let the relationship go.
