What is your opinion on all these rehabs and treatment centers saying that they can cure someone or fix them, and giving their guarantee?
We at The Addictions Academy and the Addictions Coach do not believe you can cure someone or fix someone, however; we also do not believe that you have ‘an incurable disease, and that you must give your will up and surrender’, like most drug and alcohol treatment centers base their model on. We believe that each person has the power within themselves to change and to move forward in their lives. We assist them by getting to the root cause of the addiction and move forward with them from that point. We use the tools necessary to extract purpose and passion in their lives and re-learn old behavior patterns that were destructive. Can we cure someone? No, but we can assist them with the tools to change and not make them feel shame and guilt like most programs. We do not follow the disease concept model as we do not believe that people have an incurable disease. For that we get a lot of flack, but only from those in the industry that still follow this antiquated model. Our clients love us, because we are RESULTS DRIVEN. Not disease driven and our success rate speaks volumes for itself.
