Life Coach: 3 Ways To Find the Hidden Beauty in Life

Are you struggling to find beauty in your day-to-day life? Occasionally, we can get so caught up in personal problems that we forget to appreciate the beauty of the present moment. Often, we’re so far into the future planning or regretful about something in the past that we miss the best part of the here and now.

But what if you start practicing simple ways to find beauty in your everyday life? A positive mindset is a powerful tool. You can begin to learn to see the beauty in everything, even when it’s storming right above your head. For example, you look out your window during a storm. You notice a mommy bird sheltering her young from the wind and remember how perfect nature and love can be.

So, let’s look at three ways to find the hidden beauty in life.

1. Begin a Morning Routine

Start a morning routine. Carving out some “me time” in the morning will help you start your day in a good mood. Even if it’s just a few minutes every morning, set aside time each day when you wake up to practice a little bit of self-care. Yoga, Qi Jong, or some other form of exercise daily can help you stretch your body out, get your blood flowing, and make you feel good.

Once you have a morning routine to look forward to, you’ll jump out of bed with a whole different outlook on life. You’ll start to discover the hidden beauty in taking care of yourself.

2. Practice Gratitude

When you begin a practice of gratitude, you’ll start to notice the hidden beauty in everything. Begin to fill your heart with gratitude every day by writing down four or five things you are grateful for each day. 

When you learn to appreciate the little things, you’ll start to see beauty in even the smallest things. For example, if you’re grateful you have a car to drive to work, you may even look at the trees and the mountains out the window on your way to and from work. By being grateful for your car, you now appreciate nature’s beauty too.

If you fill your heart and soul with gratitude, everything in your life will start to feel magical.  

 

3. Find Beauty in the Broken

As hard as it may be, try to find beauty in the broken. For example, when something doesn’t go as planned, think about what went well for you, or better yet —what can you learn from this experience?

When you look at everything in your life, good or bad, as a lesson, you know that you will become a much stronger and wiser human being. 

Also, learn to embrace the mess. Suppose you are facing a mess over here in this area of your life. How much more will you appreciate the other area of your life that’s holding itself together?

Without life’s low points, we wouldn’t be able to see just how beautiful the ups can be.
