I’ve done significant research on the field of Recovery Coaching and Sober Companions. However, I was not fully equipped with industry knowledge and daily realistic scenarios to be an effective Sober Companion until I took Dr. Estes’ class. Dr. Estes has thorough knowledge about every State’s substance abuse counseling and mental health treatment laws within the U.S. More importantly, Dr. Estes’ expertise and research connecting your brain function and chemical dependency taught me how to use specific tools to combat addiction and assist my clients to be successful in recovery. To be successful as a Sober Companion, we are encouraged to guide Recovering Addicts into a new and healthy way of living.
