The Addictions Academy Awarded Certified Academic Institution Status
MIAMI – March 8, 2015 – PRLog — Miami, Florida March 8, 2015
The Addictions Academy has been awarded Accreditation and Certified Academic Institution status by the American Association of Christian Therapists (AACT). The AACT has a rigorous screening process for educational schools and colleges that want to offer degrees and diplomas to students above and beyond the certification and certificate program level.
The Addictions Academy offers live courses throughout the nation, webinar based live virtual classroom experiences for their international students and on demand, prerecorded classes that you can watch at your leisure in the comfort of your own home. Designed for therapists that want to take on new clients and branch out into the coaching world and also for those in recovery that want a new career or to simply give back, the courses at The Addictions Academy meet that demand.
Their courses include: International Master Addictions Coach, Recovery Coaching I and II, Intervention, Advanced Clinical Intervention, Food Addiction Coaching, Gambling Addiction Coaching, Sex Addiction Coaching, Family Recovery Coaching, Business Development, Anger Management, Case Management, Addiction Prevention, Call Center Training, Utilization Review Training and a Christian Coaching Track.
“The American Association of Christian Therapists has gathered schools of like mind. Each school listed has received the coveted ‘Certified Academic Institution’
Since Obamacare was put into effect, therapists are flocking to take the courses at The Addictions Academy to increase revenue streams and gain new clients. Once being paid $75-120 for services, they are finding that their rates are being decreased to $31 per hour or claims being denied all together. Drug and Alcohol Treatment facilities are also requiring their staff to take the classes so that they have their own Interventionists and Recovery Coaches on staff for pre and post treatment to drive more revenue into the rehab facility and increase their sobriety success rates.
“People are calling themselves Recovery Coaches, Sober Coaches and Interventionists with little or no training in this industry,” Cali Estes, CEO said. “The community demanded a new way of standardization and product definition and we stepped up to meet that demand. States are requiring a National Certification and proof that you can offer the services you are charging for and we have been awarded the ability to provide that, along with the accreditation process we can now offer diplomas and college degrees.”
The AACT Accreditation designation will permit The Addictions Academy to offer online degrees, diplomas and also college credit hours. They currently offer Certifications as a National Education Provider through NAADAC and also CAADAC.
“When we get calls at The Addictions Coach the clients want to be ensured that our staff are trained and competent in their field,” Estes said. “We can ensure that they are and we have now been able to expand that assurance to people across the country that want to have the credentials behind their name.”
